Who we are
Boomer Cal is published by Dear Friend Digital GmbH (“we,” “us”). Company and contact details for legal purposes are available on our Imprint page.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how Boomer Cal handles information when you use the iOS / iPadOS app. It also briefly describes this marketing website. It does not govern Apple’s own services (for example iCloud sync or system Calendar), which are covered by Apple’s policies.
Information and the Boomer Cal app
Boomer Cal displays and lets you work with events from Apple Calendar on your device. To do that, the app uses Apple’s Calendar access (EventKit) when you grant permission. Processing happens on your device so you can see and edit your schedule.
We do not operate a Boomer Cal server that stores your calendar events. We do not sell your data. We do not use your calendar content for advertising or to build a marketing profile.
If you use iCloud or other accounts in Apple Calendar, sync and storage are handled by Apple and your account providers—not by us.
Permissions
You can allow or revoke calendar access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars on your iPhone or iPad. Without access, Boomer Cal cannot show your events.
Tracking, analytics, and advertising
We do not track you in the sense used by Apple’s App Privacy details: we do not link data from our app with third-party data for advertising, and we do not share your data with data brokers. We do not run in-app advertising.
We do not integrate third-party analytics or attribution SDKs that collect personal data for us. Because we do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising, you should not expect an App Tracking Transparency prompt from Boomer Cal for that purpose.
This website
This is a static marketing page. We do not place advertising cookies or share data with ad networks. We do use an optional analytics cookie to understand which pages visitors find useful—this is only activated after you explicitly consent.
Cookies & analytics
When you visit this website for the first time, a consent banner asks whether you are happy for us to collect anonymous page-view data via Firebase Analytics (Google LLC). If you decline, no analytics data is sent and no cookie is set. If you accept, Firebase may set a first-party cookie (_ga and related identifiers) to distinguish unique visitors. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
What we measure: page views and session counts—nothing more.
What we do not do: We do not use remarketing, audience targeting, or advertising features within Firebase. We do not share analytics data with third parties beyond Google’s infrastructure.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking in the footer. Clearing your browser’s local storage also resets the preference and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
For more on how Google handles analytics data, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
Children
Boomer Cal is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for tracking purposes.
Regional rights (including EEA and UK)
If privacy laws apply to you (for example GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to contact a supervisory authority. For an app that does not collect personal data on our servers for tracking, many requests will be limited to what Apple holds in your account or what remains only on your device. For requests to us, contact support@dearfriend.digital.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
